At Gulei development area in Fujian, China, the ceremony for the contract and construction of petrochemical projects was held on Jan 2. Six petrochemical projects were contracted and seven projects started construction. Investments in all the projects totaled 24.5 billion yuan.

The six contracted projects are a new material project under the Fujian Petrochemical Group, a project to technology conversion for raw material compatibility by Fuhai Chuang, a project for comprehensive utilization of crude C4 by Taiwan Hetong, a maleic anhydride derivative project by Henan Puyang Huicheng, a 180,000 mt/year surface-active agent production project by Jintong, Amoy and a construction project for adhesive material production by Huawei.

The seven projects that started construction are a project for comprehensive utilization of crude C4 by Fujian Shengtong Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a 150,000mt/year PC production and a 25,000mt/year PETG project by Zhangzhou Qimei Chemical, a new material project under the Fujian Petrochemical Group, a Puyang Huicheng Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. (Gulei terminal) project, a 30,000mt/year FFS bag film project by Fujian Ruisheng Plastic Co., Ltd., a 100,000mt/year alkoxylation project by Leizhi Chemical (Fujian) Co., Ltd. and a 25,000mt/year project for comprehensive utilization of waste catalysts by Fengpeng Environment Protection.
