Nghi Son first exports petroleum products in January

Nghi Son Refinery in Vietnam first exported petroleum products in January. Nghi Son has a refining capacity of 200,000 b/d, and started commercial production in December last year. The exported products by Nghi Son in January were said to be jet fuel of approximately 8,000kl for Singapore. Nghi Son is said to have the capacity of producing 500,000kl jet fuel a year. Nghi Son is a joint venture with foreign companies. The investment ratio is 35.1% for Idemitsu Kosan and Kuwait Petroleum International, 25.1% for PetroVietnam, 4.7% for Mitsui Chemicals. In addition, the configuration of Nghi Son includes a heavy oil desulfurization unit of 105,000 b/d, a heavy oil fluidized catalytic cracker of 80,000 b/d, and an aromatics unit for paraxylene of 700,000 mt/year.
