According to data released by Japan Petrochemical Industry Association on Jul 18, production of ethylene in June was 357,100mt, down 6.7% on year due to facility maintenance. Compared to the previous month, production decreased by 10.0%. Operation rates of ethylene plants were at 77.6%, up 0.5 points on year and down 2.8 points on month. Turnaround took place at two companies' three plants in June 2024, three companies' three plants in May 2024 and one company's one plant in June 2023.
