Crude/Condensate: Jul 15-19: Sep NWSC and Ichthys surge
Middle East Crude In trade for September-loading Qatari condensates, Qatar Energy awarded September-loading L.S.C. sell tender to Hyundai Oilbank Co Ltd and Emirates National Oil Co (ENOC). Hyundai Oilbank and ENOC bought 500,000barrles each via the tender. The awarded prices were heard at discounts of $1.80 and $2.10 to Dubai quotes. In trade for September-loading Das, ENEOS purchased 500,000bbl each of Das from French Total Energies and Aramco Trading. In addition, Cosmo Oil procured an additional cargo of Das from Italian ENI on top of one cargo bought earlier from Total Energies. Those cargoes were done at premiums of the 80cts's level to Dubai quotes.
African/European/Russian/American Crude For US crude bound for Asia, China International United Petroleum & Chemicals Co (UNIPEC) was said to have procured 1.0 mil bbls of Mars. The details were unknown but the Chinese company purchased the cargo at an FOB based price and the cargo would arrive in October. Meanwhile in the trade of Brazilian grades for Asia, UNIPEC purchased 2.0 mil bbl of Tupi for October arrival. The seller was said to be British Shell and the price was heard at a premium of high $2.00s to Dated Brent on an CFR basis. In the trade of arbitrage condensates bound for Asia, US Marathon Oil awarded a sell tender for Equatorial Guinea's Alba for early August loading closed on Jul 9 at a discount of the $8.00s level to Dated Brent on an FOB basis as reported. It later turned out that the buyer was European Trafigura. Asia Pacific Crude In trade for September-loading condensates, Woodside sold NWSC for Sep 13-17 loading early this week. The buyer was Sinochem Holding and the price was at discounts in the mid-high $3's to Dated Brent on an FOB basis. In trade for September-loading Vietnamese grades, PetroVietnam Oil Corp (PV OIL) awarded a Chim Sao sell tender to Australia's Ampol at premiums of around $7 to Dated Brent. In trade for September-loading Australian grades, INPEX sold an Ichthys condensate (650,000barrels) for Sep 22-26 loading via a tender. The winner was Japan's Taiyo Oil Co Ltd and the awarded price was at premiums of about $3 to Dated Brent on an FOB basis,
