Concerns on oil transportations arise in Korea on truck drivers strike

It has been a week since truck drivers in South Korea started strikes to require the minimum wages guarantee against the government. Market sources pointed out that impacts of the strikes have spread to transportations of oil products, petrochemical products, coal and so on. In addition, it is also worried that disruptions in productions of automobiles or steels would take place as deliveries of parts for the products would be delayed. It is reported that around 6,000-7,000 drivers took part in the demonstrations. A market source in South Korea said that it was still unclear when the strikes would be over.
