For early bird tickets for the World Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, Kansai Electric Power Co including its subsidiary companies and Osaka Gas Corp would buy 200,000 and 150,000 tickets, respectively. Kansai Electric elaborated the reason for the purchase, "We have decided to buy the tickets to shoulder an appropriate amount of costs as our base is in the Kansai area. We would like to use the tickets as a form of employees'welfare." Osaka Gas also said, "We will celebrate our 120th anniversary in 2025, so we consider distributing the tickets to our group employees as part of the celebration." In the Expo, Osaka Gas was planning to provide materials for the gas pavilion that the Japan Gas Association (JGA) would set up and was also expected to carry out a pilot test of e-methane using kitchen waste.
