Singapore plans to increase EV chargers to 12,000 by 2025

According to the Land Transport Authority in Singapore, more than 2,400 charging points for electric vehicles have been installed at about 700 Housing Board residential carparks managed by Housing & Development Board (HDB), a statutory board under the Ministry of National Development. HDB provides the public with inexpensive housing and promotes home ownership for citizens. In the country, the number of high speed chargers is sharply increasing. Each high speed charger is able to charge half a battery in an average of 30 minutes. It takes 6-8 hours for a full charge at normal charging points. The Singapore government plans to install at least 12,000 EV chargers in about 2,000 HDB carparks by 2025.
