China PTA facility operations from June to July
In China, operation rates of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) facilities in June were at about 76.7% on average, up 6.7 points from the previous month. Production volumes were at 5.70 mil mt, up 5.15% from June 2023. In June, some new facilities started up and several facilities that had undergone maintenance restarted. Since many facilities are also scheduled to restart from July onwards, operation rates and production volumes are expected to be higher than June. Operations of major facilities are as follows.
