According to statistics from Qingdao Customs, as of Feb 8, Dongjiakou Port Customs has supervised the discharge of 703 LNG ships, amounting to 50.138 mil mt, equivalent to more than 70 billion cubic meters. This provides strong support for clean energy supply and economic development of Shandong and surrounding areas. As the only operating double-berth LNG receiving terminal in Shandong Province, the Qingdao LNG terminal has the country's largest LNG storage tank of 270,000 cubic meters. It is not only the largest LNG terminal in Shandong Province, but also one of the main sources of gas supply in North China. Sinopec Qingdao LNG indicated that in 2024, the Qingdao LNG terminal received 76 LNG ships, with a total quantity of 5.53 mil mt. In addition, the terminal gasified more than 6.5 billion cubic meters to be transported to other regions and delivered more than 740,000mt of LNG by trucks. The terminal has been operating safely for 10 years and has received a total of over 50 mil mt of LNG and gasified a total of 54.4 billion cubic meters. This is equivalent to replacing 62.64 mil mt of coal and reducing carbon emissions by approximately 113 mil mt.
