SK Incheon Petrochem launched to produce B30 marine fuel. The company supplied it into a ship at the Incheon port on Apr 26. B30 is produced by blending SK group's Straight Run Fuel Oil (SRFO) with biofuel supplied by JC Chemical, a bio-fuel producer in the country, in a 7:3 ratio. This fuel complies with the international marine fuel standard ISO8217. Compared to petroleum-based marine fuels, CO2 emissions can be reduced by approximately 25% by using this newly fuel.
