ENN Zhoushan LNG terminal capacity rises to 10 mil mt/year
Construction of Phase 3 of ENN Group LNG terminal was completed and operations had started. The terminal received the first LNG vessel on Aug 6 using the Phase 3 facilities and storage. The Zhoushan LNG terminal is the first private project approved by the National Energy Administration of China and is located in the core trading area of Zhejiang province. The terminal began operations on Oct 19, 2018. Phase 1 had a capacity of 3 mil mt/year and two 160,000 cubic-meter storage tanks. Phase 2 was started up in June 2021 with a capacity of 5 mil mt/year and a total storage capacity of 640,000 cubic meters. In Phase 3, four 220,000 cubic-meter storage tanks were added, bringing the total storage to 1.52 mil cubic meters and reaching a capacity of 10 mil mt/year. With the enhanced capacity, the terminal could meet the annual gas demand of more than 30 mil households in the Yangtze Delta region.
