The Sinopec-Sk(Wuhan)Petrochemical terminal upgrade project, located in Qingshan District, Wuhan City, has entered the full construction phase. With a total investment of about Yuan 280 million, the project commenced full-scale construction on Oct 12, 2025. It is currently the largest terminal upgrade project under construction in the Yangtze River Basin, with two berths expected to be operational by the end of this year. The renovation will integrate the original four berths into three 5,000-ton and one 10,000-ton oil and gas chemical berths, with a designed annual throughput capacity of nearly 3.50 million tons. Sinopec-Sk(Wuhan)Petrochemical was established in October 2013 as a joint venture between China's Sinopec and South Korea's SK.
