In China, several purified terephthalic acid (PTA) facilities carried out turnaround in April. The average operation rates were at 75.52%, down 5.38 points from the previous month. Market players estimate that total PTA production volumes were around 6.20 mil mt. The operation rates are forecast to decline further from May onwards.
