CNOOC Jinwan "Green Energy Port" Phase 2 commences production

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) said that Phase 2 of its Jinwan "Green Energy Port" project, the largest LNG storage and transportation base in South China, was fully commissioned on Apr 21. Phase 2 of the project includes five 270,000 cubic metre LNG storage tanks and auxiliary facilities. Phase 1 of the project was commissioned in 2013 with an annual processing capacity of 3.5 million tons. After the full commissioning of Phase 2, the total annual LNG processing capacity of the Jinwan Green Energy Port would increase to 7 million tons, enabling a reduction of 33.52 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, and the total gas storage capacity will increase to 1.098 billion cubic meter.
