CHN Energy announced on Jun 22 that its total installed power generation capacity has exceeded 400 mil kW. Currently, the total installed power generation capacity in China is approximately 4 billion kW, and CHN Energy's installed capacity accounts for 10% of the national total, playing a pivotal role in ensuring stable national power supply and maintaining energy security. In recent years, with the rapid development of China's economy and the improvement of living standards, electricity consumption has been on the rise. In 2025, electricity consumption exceeded 10 trillion kWh for the first time, a global first. As a state-owned energy company, CHN Energy has implemented a new energy security strategy, adhered to the principle of "coal as foundation and electricity as core", focused on clean and efficient coal-fired power projects, and promoted the construction of large-scale clean energy projects including hydropower, wind and solar power. The installed capacity of renewable energy exceeded 41%. While the installed capacity continues to increase, a coordinated system covering the entire energy chain from production to transportation and consumption has been established, ensuring stable and reliable energy supply. The company's power generation has exceeded 1.2 trillion kWh for two consecutive years, with an annual heat supply of 570 mil Gigajoules. |
