According to data by Korea Exchange (KRX), the domestic average retail prices for gasoil exceeded those for gasoline on Wednesday. As the international gasoil prices had surged on tight supply/demand fundamentals, the domestic prices seemed to follow the upward trend. As of Wednesday, the average retail prices for gasoil were at 1,947.59won/liter, while those for gasoline were at 1,946.11won/liter. A market source said that each refiner seemed to be actively exporting gasoil on the back of the firm international market. It was speculated that domestic supply could be getting thin.
