Osaka Gas Co Ltd was putting effort into attracting customers to the Osaka-Kansai EXPO 2025 to be held from April. Osaka Gas would exhibit "Virtual Pavillion Obake Wonderland" at the EXPO through Japan Gas Association and left the content production at the pavilion to Brave group, a metaverse production firm located in Tokyo and affiliated to Osaka Gas. Moreover, Mr. Hiro Shimono, who played the role of Zenitsu Agatsuma in the popular animation "Demon Slayer", would provide the voice-over for a character of the pavilion in order to attract potential attendees.

Osaka Gas began investing in metaverse in 2022. Regarding the move, the company commented, "We aim to stimulate communication, especially among the younger generation." Besides that, Osaka Gas increased the number of tickets to the EXPO that it purchased from 150,000 to 200,000.
