The July contract on the LNG futures contract at the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) was traded at YEN 2,097 per mmBtu (about $14.04) on Mar 24, marking the transaction in 4 days in a row. The LNG futures, which are under temporary listing, will have a deadline for the listing on Apr 3. Asked whether about the possible delisting of the product, a commodity broker guessed, "The TOCOM will probably continue to trade with the extension of temporary listing. Given its thin volume, it is difficult to shift the contract to permanent listing."
