Keiyo Monomer : Fire breaks out on Apr 21 night
A fire broke out at Keiyo Monomer's vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) facility in Ichihara in Chiba at 22:45 on Apr 21. It was confirmed that the fire was extinguished by 7:34 on Apr 22. There are several refineries in the Keiyo area, but these refineries are operating normally.
Shares of Keiyo Monomer are owned by AGC (56.25%), Kureha (25%) and Maruzen Petrochemical (18.75%).
