The Offshore Energy & Equipment Global Conference (OEEG 2025), co-hosted by the Shanghai Association of Shipbuilding Industry (SASIC), the China Offshore (Deepsea) Industry Alliance, and CDMC Events, concluded successfully in Shanghai. The event was held alongside three major concurrent summits -- the 12th FPSO & FLNG & FSRU Global Summit, the LNG Carriers Global Summit, and the 8th Offshore Wind Asia Summit 2025.

Under the theme "Reconstructing the Offshore Engineering Ecosystem from a Global Perspective," the conference brought together 5,553 industry professionals and 122 exhibitors from around the world. The event served as a vital platform for connecting China's offshore engineering supply chain with the global market and for facilitating deeper engagement of international players in China's rapidly growing marine energy sector. Through targeted matchmaking sessions, specialized international forums, and the release of industry white papers and maps, OEEG reinforced its role as a key hub for global cooperation in offshore engineering.

Industry executives emphasized that the true value of OEEG lies in its ability to unite leading players across the offshore engineering field, fostering a dynamic and competitive ecosystem that showcases the strength of China's industrial supply chain. Addressing domestic challenges such as excessive price competition amid limited project opportunities, participants agreed that pure price rivalry is unsustainable and detrimental to long-term growth. They highlighted the importance of greater technological innovation, active participation in international exchanges, and leveraging platforms like OEEG to demonstrate technical excellence, enhance overseas credibility, and overcome structural bottlenecks in the industry.
