The Chinese government announced on Wednesday that additional tariffs of 24% would be suspended by one year and 10% additional tariffs on imports from the US would be maintained. This was the result of an agreement reached at the US-China summit held on Oct 30. This measure would take effect at 13:01 on Nov 10. On the same day, US announced that it would reduce the 20% additional tariffs imposed on imports from China to 10% in response to China's fentanyl countermeasures.
