Asahi Kasei Mitsubishi Chemical Ethylene Corp (AMEC) injected feedstock into its naphtha cracker with annual ethylene production capacity of 567,000mt at the Mizushima plant on Monday. It confirmed on-spec ethylene production after that, reported market sources. The company is expected to raise operation rates of the naphtha cracker in several days going forward. This facility was shut down on Feb 5 to repair the malfunctions.
