According to data released by the National Energy Administration on April 20, in March, the total electricity consumption in society was 859.5 billion kilowatt hours(kWh), up 3.5% on year. In terms of industries, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 11.3 billion kWh, rose 6.7% on year; The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 570.8 billion kWh, rose 2.0% on year; The electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 160.1 billion kWh, rose 7.7% on year; The electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 117.2 billion (kWh), up 5.2% on year.
From January to March, the total electricity consumption in society reached 2.51 trillion kWh, increased by 5.2% on year. In terms of industries, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 33.6 billion kWh, up 7.1% on year; The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 1.60 trillion kWh, up 4.7% on year; The electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 483.3 billion kWh, up 8.1% on year; The electricity consumption of urban and rural residents reached 398.5 billion kWh, up 3.4% on year..
