Inpex's commercial again hits, introduces Kashiwazaki Hydrogen Park
|
On Monday, INPEX began airing a new commercial introducing blue hydrogen on television and the internet, with views on video-sharing site YouTube exceeding 890,000 within two days of its release. Actor Kaya Kiyohara visits "Kashiwazaki Hydrogen Park" in Niigata Prefecture, where blue hydrogen is produced, with a girl, and INPEX employees introduce its business to the melody of the British nursery rhyme "London Bridge Is Falling Down." At Kashiwazaki Hydrogen Park, hydrogen is produced by mixing natural gas with steam and oxygen, and the CO2 generated is buried underground in the Higashi Kashiwazaki Gas Field through Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). INPEX commented, "This commercial will promote brand recognition and business understanding. Moreover, it will also convey our vision of providing low-carbon solutions and promote understanding of our challenge in next-generation fuels." In recent years, INPEX has aimed to enhance brand credibility by ensuring consistency in its advertising through the continuous casting of Ms. Kiyohara in its commercials. The commercial for the 2.10 mil mt/year Naoetsu terminal, released last June, has garnered over 162 million views on YouTube, achieving an exceptional number for a commercial in the energy industry.
