Jera's Sodegaura units resume 9th; Tokyo: Scorching heat next week

JERA's large-scale LNG thermal power units Sodegaura 2-4, with a rated capacity of 1 GW each (3 units in total), operating in the Tokyo area, resumed operation on the 9th. High temperatures are expected nationwide over the next week, and according to some private meteorological companies, 34-39 degrees are forecast for the Kanto region on the 14th. Notably, Tokyo is forecast to reach 36 degrees, marking the first scorching heat day of the year. While high levels of air-conditioning demand are expected, stable supply is not anticipated to be an issue.
