The Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), under the Japan Exchange Group, will discount the transaction fee by half for its power futures contract from this September to March next year. During the period, the fee brokers pay to the TOCOM will be Yen 0.0016 per kWh (including clearing fee) for base load in East and West area futures contracts. Offering a discount fee in power futures by the TOCOM will be the first case since 2019, when power futures started as a temporary listing.
