Singapore bunker sales in Aug slightly increase by 0.9% on month

Maritime Port Authority Singapore (MPA) announced that the estimated marine fuel oil sales volume in August in the country was at 4.77 mil mt, down 192,580mt (3.9%) on year, but slightly up 40,760mt (0.9%) on month. Sales volumes of MFO (high sulfur fuel oil) were at 2.10 mil mt, up by 203,340mt on year, and up by 149,620mt on month. On the other hand, those of LSFO were at 2.19 mil mt, down by 307,170mt on year, and down by 133,240mt on month. Those of LSMGO were at 367,700mt, down by 830mt on year, but up by 8,880mt on month. Those of Bio-blended LSFO were at 47,900mt, down by 45,930mt on year, but up by 17,950mt on month. MFO accounted for 43.90% of all sales volumes of bunker fuels, while the proportion of the new fuels including Bio-diesel, LNG, methanol and so on was 2.43%. The average price for VLSFO in August was at $832.98/mt, sharply up by $60.31/mt from $772.67/mt in July, according to a survey conducted by Rim Intelligence. |
