According to data released by Japan Petrochemical Industry Association on Dec 19, production of ethylene in November was at 430,800mt, down 8.0% on year as turnaround took place at an ethylene facility and operation rates decreased. Compared to the previous month, production increased by 4.0%. Operation rates of ethylene facilities that were in operation were at 78.0%, down 6.1 points on year and up 0.6 points on month. Turnaround of ethylene facilities took place at one company's one facility in October and November 2024. In November 2023, no turnaround took place.
