According to data released by Japan Petrochemical Industry Association, production of ethylene in June was at 358,300mt, a mostly similar level to the same month last year. Compared to the previous month, production fell by 14.0% as an ethylene facility entered turnaround. Turnaround took place at two companies' two facilities in June, one company's one facility in May and two companies' two facilities in June 2024. Operation rates of ethylene facilities that were in operation in June were at 75.0%, down by 1.1 points from May and down by 2.8 points from June 2024.
