According to data released by Japan Petrochemical Industry Association, production of ethylene in July was at 388,400mt, down 2.4% from the same month last year as more facilities underwent turnaround. Compared to the previous month, production increased by 8.7% since the number of days was higher and operation rates also rose. The number of ethylene facilities that underwent turnaround was one company's one facility in July 2024 and two companies' two facilities in June and July 2025. Operation rates of ethylene facilities that were in operation in July were at 77.7%, down 5.2points from the same month last year while up 2.9points from the previous month.
