According to data released by Japan Petrochemical Industry Association on Oct 23, production of ethylene in September was at 430,800mt, up 10.6% from the same month last year. Compared to the previous month, production increased by 3.0%. No ethylene facilities underwent turnaround in September. In September 2024 and August 2025, one facility each underwent turnaround. Operation rates of ethylene facilities that were in operation in September were at 77.6%. In September 2024 and August 2025, the operation rates were at 80.2% respectively.
