According to data released by Japan Petrochemical Industry Association, production of ethylene in February was at 334,200mt, down 22.9% from the same month last year since several ethylene facilities underwent turnaround. Compared to the previous month, production was down 17.9%. In February, two companies' two ethylene facilities underwent turnaround. In January, one company's one facility underwent turnaround. In February 2025, no facilities underwent turnaround. Operation rates of ethylene facilities that were in operation in February were at 75.7%, down 0.2 points from the same month last year and down 0.1 points from the previous month.
