Crude/Condensate:Jun 23-27:BPCL buys Aug Murban
Middle East Crude In trade for Abu Dhabi grades, India's Baharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL) on Tuesday purchased 2.0 mil bbls of August-loading Murban through private negotiations. The price was said to be at a premium of about $2.70 to Dubai quotes. BPCL apparently opted to buy the Murban, along with WTI Midlands, amid a perception that Murban values were attractive relative to other competing light grades. For other August-loading Abu Dhabi grades, Das was traded. PTT Public Co in Thailand purchased 500,000bbl of Das in the spot market at a Dubai linked price. The price was said to be 80-90cts below August-loading Murban when the deal changed hands.
African/European/Russian/American Crude For US trade for Asia, India's Baharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL) this week was said to have purchased 1.0 mil bbls of WTI Midlands. The details were sketchy but the price was believed to be at a premium of $4.00s levels to Dated Brent on a CFR basis.
Asia Pacific Crude In August-loading Malaysian grades, Miri changed hands at premiums of $6.5 to Dated Brent although the buyer and the seller were sketchy. Apart from that, August-loading Labuan was said to have been traded. The price was apparently at premiums of $7.2 to Dated Brent although the buyer and the seller were unclear. |
