Crude/Condensate: Sep 29-Oct 3: HPCL buys Dec arrival Murban
Middle East Crude India's Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL) purchased a total of 4.0 mil barrels of Murban for early December arrival in a tender closed this week. The winners were French Total Energies and European Mercuria. In trade for December-loading, China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) sold one December-loading cargo of Upper Zakum to PetroChina at a discount of 15cts to OSP. CNOOC also sold one cargo to European Gunvor at a discount of 18cts to OSP.
African/European/Russian/American Crude In trade for US grades for January arrival in Northeast Asia, End-users in Japana and Korea had bought WTI Midland for January arrival at premiums in the $4's to Dated Brent. Apart from that, PTT Public Co in Thailand purchased one cargo of WTI Midland crude for November loading and another cargo for December arrival, each totaling 2mil barrels. In trade for November-loading Angolan grades, Sonangol moved on selling Dalia. An offer was heard at premiums of $1 to Dated Brent.
Asia Pacific Crude In Vietnam's state-owned PetroVietnam (PV) Oil will soon issue sell tenders for December-loading. Some market players expected spot supplies for December-loading Vietnamese grades would be four cargoes at the largest, down from November-loading supply. In the trade of November-loading Vietnamese grades, five cargoes in total -Chim Sao, Ruby, Rang Dong, SV-DN and Thang Long were sold in the spot market. The supply plan for December-loading was yet to be clear, but an end-user in Japan expected there would be cargoes for Chim Sao and Thang Long.
