Crude/Condensate: Mar 9-13: TIS yet to announce May sales tender

Middle East Crude

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (ADNOC) requested equity holders of Murban crude to change the loading port for Murban from the Port of Fujairah to Jebel Dhanna. Amidst this situation, French TotalEnergies secured five cargoes of May-loading Murban at fixed prices. PetroChina sold two cargoes while US Philipps 66, European Trafigura and US Chevron sold one cargo each. These deals were done after 20 lots of physical Dubai partials, each 25,000bbl, were sold at fixed prices and a full cargo of Murban was delivered for Dubai. The total number of Murban cargoes purchased by TotalEnergies at a fixed price during the month of March reached 22 cargoes.

African/European/Russian/American Crude

As buyers significantly raised their valuations for Djeno crude in tandem with the substantial improvement in low-sulfur fuel oil crack spreads in Asia, Briton's Petroineos bought an additional cargo of April-loading Djeno. The company purchased one cargo loading in mid-late April at around flat to Dated Brent. Petroineos had already purchased April-loading Djeno from Briton's Perenco at a discount of $4 to Dated Brent last week.

Asia Pacific Crude

As of last Friday, Indonesia's TIS Petroleum had not announced a sales tender for May-loading Indonesian crude. There is a possibility that the Indonesian government has banned crude oil exports, and "TIS may decide to forgo holding a sales tender for May-loading cargoes," a South Korean energy company said. With supplies of crude oil and condensate from the Persian Gulf having come to a halt, moves are spreading across Asia to restrict overseas exports of crude and petroleum products to secure domestic supplies.
